sixteen years later
i couldn't believe it when i saw this picture on the left! a guy took this pic of me a couple of sundays ago during an intramural game. the pic to the right is a picture that a newspaper photographer took of me in 1991...a mere sixteen-year-old. is that not freaky!?!? i'm even holding my right thumb out in both pictures! doesn't look like much has changed over the years, eh? ahhhh, alas my friends, lots has changed in the past sixteen years. for one thing, i didn't have to wear sports bras in high school...matter of fact, i hated them...my how times have changed. i am having to wear two sports bras in the pic on the left to keep my milk jugs from bouncing around. :o) i know asa is so proud of his mama gettin' out there and playing even though she made a fool of herself. but see the chic in the background in tennis shoes and no socks?...the competition wasn't too challenging...so i was able to score a goal...fallopian tubes, uterus, and ovaries jigglin' around and all. freak of nature, i was sore...but i guess i gotta start somewhere. (the frown on my face is due to concentrating on how to run and dribble again having forgotten over the past 9+ months...i seriously couldn't run....and i seriously need a tan.)
